This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

Gosh I hope the media keeps reporting that the election is alreay decided. The Dems already have a hard time getting their electorate out to actually vote--perhaps they will think it's a done deal and sleep in. Or perhaps many have voted multiple times already.

A vote for Mccain is a vote that makes bankers smile as we buy welfare mortgages for full price under the Mccain plan. Bigger government under Mccain plan too as we buy low income loans which people will not pay. Mccains response? We will lose money but it is necessary. Necessary for who? The bankers? I voted for Obama today!

First let me apologize for any grammatical errors.

I am recently became an American Citizen and I am still learning the English language.

        My mother use to say:

"The worse blind is the one which does not want to see".

The sad thing about all this situation (Presidential Elections 2008) is that…after all is done… (Obama wins)…people are gone say: What happened? I was so sure!

        He sounded so good!

        To good to be true!

This is what I have to say...To much talk...Who is him? Do you really know Obama? Two years in the Senate…campaigning…that’s all!

Promises…He says what people want to hear!

We all gone pay a very high price for this big mistake we (you) are getting yourselves in…

        Open your eyes people!

Study the situations…get informed…Don’t believe in promises!

Look at the person! Their precedent…

Don’t you know that “were there’s smoke there’s fire?”

We should be more prudent with our choices…

We leave in a very dangerous world…very dangerous…

Look at the history of this world!

We are all living in a “lalala” world, not taking in consideration that bad people are out there, and they are planning right now, as we speak, to kill us!

Even if it takes 100 years…They will succeed!

And do you want to know why!

JUST BECAUSE WE CHOOSE TO BE BLIND…AND DEAF!

        BE CAREFUL…AND… GOOD LUCK!

        God bless you all!

I am soooo thankful someone has the INTELLIGENCE to see what is really going on.  We are getting a snow job by the Obama campaign and any child with grade school education could tell you his number do NOT add up.

We have about 40% of the US not paying taxes, yet Obama says he wants to cut middle class tax some more.  Well, as a middle class person, I am all for paying less taxes but his numbers and voting record do NOT add up.

Obama says he will not give Middle Class a tax hike, NO, he just wants to take AWAY the tax cut Bush gave us!!!!!  Technically, that's not a hike but I will take home LESS pay.   Under Bush, it was the Middle Class that benefitted the most by percentages!!!  MC tax payers taxes in the $30-60,000 range could almost double if Obama gets rid of Bush's cuts!

As for the rich not paying enough taxes, get over your class bias.  The top 3% pay over 95% of the taxes!!!!  The other 90-something pay very little of the overall tax burden.  Don't get me wrong, I cannot afford a higher tax but NO ONE should have to pay 50% in taxes!

For those of you who are not intelligent enough to know this, the wealthy create jobs and investments that benefit us ALL.  Perfect example, you are on a computer right now.  The average person is only able to afford a computer now due to the fact that wealthy bought them during their "expense" start up years.  This allowed the manufacturers to survive until mass production was feasible.   This is true for most of the things we consider common household items such as TV's, refrig.'s, car's, etc.   So when the Democratic Party gets off it's class warfare, we will be a lot better off!!!

Also, as I have stated before, it's the liberal's who are the ones who stoop to ugle personal attacks and name calling!!!!  Case in point, just look at the vulgar and low-class anti-Palin shirts the liberals are wearing.  If that we a Republican wearing something like that about Hillary, there would be he-- to pay!  We wouldn't here the end of it in the media!!!  Yet, you don't see a single story about it on MSNBC only on Fox and other non-biased news orgs.

Oh, and as for the Dems playing the race card AGAIN!  It's the Dems that keep the race war alive!!!!  You don't see the Republican's going on and on about color, they look at CHARACTER of the person.  And boy is Obama a character!   CAUGHT in one lie after another.

Sooooo, No, I don't want to take political advise from a young generation that is probably the most screwed up we've ever raised.  Look at the facts, the kids killing parents, kids killing others because they looked at them wrong, etc.  These young kids couldn't pass a history or economics test if they tried and you liberals are extolling their virtues?!?!?  Please,  as a young mother, I see that my own generation is just beginning to "learn" the truth about government although I have always been one of those involved in what is going on thanks to a politically active Democratic mother who got smart and changed parties when the Dems went so FAR left.

An gentleman told me just yesterday about an old adage that I find completely true.  "A young person will be a liberal after leaving college but will be a conservative Republican by the time they are 40".  That's because after they have LIVED and paid taxes and seen the error of their youth, they get real and think about it.

"A young person will be a liberal after leaving college but will be a conservative Republican by the time they are 40".What a load.   I was a Republican from the age of 18.  I voted first for Reagan, then Bush I and Bush II in 2000.  I fought in the first Gulf War.  Post 40, it has taken the last 8 years of Bush for me to see the light.   I'm voting for Obama. What has changed my political views in this election?I've seen what failed economics have done to this country.  I have seen how shortsightedness have led us into an unnecessary war.  I have seen how incompetence and stubbornness have led to the deaths of thousands of my brothers and sisters in arms, not to mention hundreds of thousands of civilians.  I've seen Iran and North Korea become stronger.  I've seen my privacy invaded, my rights stripped away.  I've seen a VP who feels he is above the law and a government so obsessed with secrecy that it scares the hell out of me.    I have seen my paycheck remain flat, my state and local taxes go WAY up due to cuts in Federal dollars to the states.  I've seen my property taxes triple in one year far outstripping any Bush tax cuts.  I've seen gas prices, food prices, just about everything increase alarmingly.   I've watched my retirement account that I've faithfully contribute into for the past 20 years lose half its value in a week.  I've seen my house lose 30% of its value.  I've seen friends lose their jobs, their houses and their sense of self-worth.  I've seen foreclosure signs pop up all over my neighborhood.   I've seen small businesses close their doors. I've seen the dollars I spend at the pump go straight into the pockets of the Chinese, Russians and Middle-eastern countries.  I haven't seen any plan to stop it.  I've seen the schools fail to prepare our kids for the challenges of this century.  I've seen them fall behind in basics like math and science.  I've seen art and music programs dropped entirely.  I've seen major U.S. cities destroyed and citizens left for fend for themselves and die in their attics waiting for help to arrive.  I heard the hatred coming from the Republicans, the name calling, the racial innuendos.  I've felt the ugliness from the McCain campaign and from Sarah Palin in particular.  Frankly it did nothing but strengthen my resolve in preventing Ms. Palin from setting foot in the White House. We are all so busy just trying to make ends meet.  We are all working away at our jobs trying to get ahead.  We all cringe when we stop to fill up our cars or at the grocery checkout.  We all worry at the end of month when we look at the pile of bills and balance in our accounts and wonder how we can afford to buy the kids new coats and calculate in our minds how many years left before we have to send them off to college.  Yet, with so many people struggling, McCain want to continue Bush's failed policies and spend billions more of our dollars on an unnecessary war, give billions more to large multi-national companies in tax breaks, privatize social security, continue to deregulate industries and stop government oversight.   He will lead this country to its end.  It is time to try something new.  We need a new New Deal.  We have to get America working again.  We have to produce more than we consume.  We need money flowing in rather than out.

Yes, but will they Be At The Mall or At The Polls Voting?

Every election cycle we hear how this generation of new adults are sooooo excited about the vote.....then, AFTER the election, they say,

        "uhhh, i had a test.

        I had to baby sit.

        I woke up late.

        I lost my ID.

I can't find my registration card.

        I gotta baby, no sitter.

My classes at 'no-where-state-college are more important.

They had a sale at the Mall. "

        Read 1st question.

Congratulations on your citizenship!  I'll say you have been spending too much time for your test, as you should, but you are the one that do not have the facts about Obama. Voting is not only a right in this country but also a huge responsibility so make sure you make an intelligent vote and illustrate yourself before doing so.

Bill, excellent seed. I just seeded this as well, before I saw your, but mine was from the Scholastic News Online site.

Yes, but will they Be At The Mall or At The Polls Voting?

Metonitoo, did you read the article? These were kids from grades 1-12. The majority of them will not be able to vote anyway. Hopefully, they (the kids) will keep this (voting) up when they turn 18.

This was an interesting article to read as my son, 8 years old, came home yesterday from school and said that he had changed his mind and that he liked McCain because one of his friends told him that Obama wanted to take away women's right to vote. That floored me. This, coming from a third grader and he was told this by another third grader. I told him that Obama did not want to take away anyones rights and that in fact wanted to make sure that women kept their rights (I didn't go into the whole pro-choice/pro-life or even that Obama wants to give women the right to fight in combat stuff either). I've talked about politics in front of my children and my 10 year old daughter is very interested in who wins the election, she wants Obama too but that is not from anything I have said about him. I can't remember that I was this much into politics and presidents when I was their age.

Thank God we don't let the kids vote.  Heck, now they don't even want to let the kids know they lost a baseball game...they just tell them they were the last winner.  Well, Obama will be the last winner then!  All of these polls and information that the reporters are telling us that Obama is in the lead are from kids 18-24.  Last time I checked, baby boomers outnumbered them by the millions...and they aren't going to vote for someone with only 2 years experience!  I don't even think you can be manager at Mcdonald's with that little bit of experience!

And Palin has what experience to run the country when McCain can no longer?  By the way they said that Clinton had too little experience too and this country was 1000 times better off during the Clinton years then the bush years.

How can you even consider voting for someone with no experience?  Why don't you take the new mailroom guy or girl and promote them up to CEO and see how long your company will be around.  That in essence is what you are proposing that we do.  Last time I checked, there are plenty of women/young girls making more that men right now.  What decade are you living in?  Does your mommy and daddy know you aren't in school and are on the computer again?  Old folks will make a better decision, you are correct.  The will vote for experience and leadership, judgement and military experience, and more than 2 years of on the job training!

Wow...we went from how bad Ocrapa sucks to me being a miserable human being.  Are you in your basement at your moms house right now?  I do have a great life...thank you.  I wake up every day with a smile on my face.  I wonder how you wake up?  Is it from a prison cell, mommy's basement, or the library because that is the only place you can get a woman to talk to you and she is telling you that you have an overdue book that you owe .05 cents on?  You need to go spend $5.00 at Wal-Mart and get you a mirror and look at it every now and then.  Because when you have one finger pointing at me saying I am a miserable person and you feel sorry for me, you have 3 of your fingers pointing right back at yourself.  You should get out of the house more...get some sun on that skin...get out with the real world and see that there is more to life than your parents basement!  Good luck on your new outlook...and may god have mercy on your soul.

Kids pick up on what their parents are discussing in the privacy of their living rooms and around the kitchen table.  They are little Tivo machines, they record and play back everything!   It doesn't surprise me that they are an accurate crystal ball for the election results.

It looks like a win for Obama.

I knew you had to be a yankee.  Only idiots and yankee's consider people from the south as lesser than intelligent.  How can you want to elect someone that you have NO concrete proof that he wasn't a Muslim as a child.  People say and do things to get you to think certain ways.  Politics is lies...whoever tells the best lies wins.  Politicians are professional liars and if Ocrapa is elected and then he realizes that he can't do and doesn't have any power to do the crap he promises and you are buying, what are you going to do then?  Do you think we can impeach a President for lying?  I wish.

Muslim is not a race. It is an ethnic group. Get over your ignorance. So, you have an issue with "yankees". It's oh so apparent that you like to label people as this or that. That shows a low IQ.
Thank God I was raised to be tolerant to the differences in people. Different races, different religions, cultures, etc.
Try to be more open in your thinking. Don't paint everyone with the same brush. "Muslims" are no more dangerous than "Eskimos". Stop tying radicalism to Muslims.
That said, to alleviate your paranoia, Obama is a Christian with a Muslim background. There is no reason to be afraid of that. If you disagree with his policies that's fine. To bash the guy with veiled associations to Islamic Fundamentalists is wrong.

So you conclude that all Muslims are violent people? If so, you couln't be more obtuse.

It's confusing to me that Obama leads in the polls yet you say 95% of Americans don't believe in him. So, using your logic, McCain wins 95% to 5%. Thanks for the education.
And what exactly is your obsession with the north? Are you sore you got your ass kicked in the civil war? That's been over 140 years ago. Let it go.

I'll gun hunt for about a week, but usually have my tags filled by then. Sometimes I go out in December for muzzleloader, after the republicans have decided it's too cold to be outside.

Hey did you know that McCain gave a keynote address at a recent ACORN gathering?

Obama didn't invent ACORN. The same greed and corruption that drove unscrupulous Americans to finance mortgages to those who could not afford them, to hire illegal aliens to work well below minimum wage, to abuse their gubernatorial power, to accept bribes and favors for their services, etc. etc, etc...

Whether they be democrat or republican, corrupt, greedy individuals are in a class of their own.  They have little respect for the law, and are only motivated by selfishness.

McCain... (someone I was once going to vote for, after Hillary didn't get the nomination) His pick of Palin floored me - how inconsiderate can you be?  @age 72, you pull a trick out of your hat like that?  SELFISH.

If it had been McCain that was involved with the ACORN group, we never would have heard the end of it. But now that it's Obamee, well, let's just brush that under the carpet. (It's getting crowded under that carpet with all the William Ayres crap and the Church stuff and the Anti-American junk under there)

there is no "Ayers crap". Us Democrats researched all of this when Hillary brought it up and we all decided that a guy who was never convicted of a crime and who is now a respected Proffessor who sits on charitable boards that stand up for the needs of children really wasn't someone to be worried about. But by all means, keep pushing for it to be an issue. The only people listening is the republican base. By the way, that is not a slam on Hillary- I'm just saying that the whole process caused the vetting of the Democratic candidates. Not so with the republicans. Hillary in '2016!

He's even said so. Listen to your gut when that is all you have available. We still have a survival instinct in us that can and should guide us in quick life or death situations. This is not a "gut" type situation. Everyone has plenty of time to make an educated decision based on facts.

Yeah, it's logical: children say what they hear at home. Looking at swing states, it's not all good for Obama. I still say: this race should not be this close. All things considered, Barack should be up by at least 25 points.

Are you sure it's not a Maverick? You haven't told me where you're from yet so I can't compare the average deer in Michigan to the deer where you live. I do ok. We've got a huge deer population, we just don't have as many BIG deer as some other states. So, we're in agreement! You win the deer argument, and I win the political argument. Can we still fight?

Actually, animals of the same species will always be larger in the northern climates. the reason is the animals weight to surface area ratio.  Now follow carefully iculook, here's where math is involved. The surface area for a given animal does not go up in the same  proportion as it's weight. In other words, if weight goes up by 25%, surface area goes up less. So animals in the north, put on more weight and have less heat loss through their hide. After a few million years of evolution, the animals in the north are bigger given the same age, sex, etc.

The largest whitetails on record come from Minnesota, North Dakota, Maine, etc.

While these laws vary in each state, they generally require employers to give employees time off to vote if the polls are not open two or three hours outside of the employee’s regular shift. Some of these states also require that companies PAY employees for time off while they are voting. In addition, some states may require employees to request time off from their employers in advance of election day.

I am looking forward to having a president that is a very intellegent being.  Senator Obama has proven himself to be a highly educated and intellegent individual.  Definately what I want in a Commander in Chief.  We've seen what happens when an average idiot is given the reigns.   McCain, although I think he has good intentions, I don't believe all the negativity was what he wanted to do, he proves he is unable to think for himself and is listening to others who are far more unethical than he.

I was angered by a statement that Senator McCain made in the last debate.  He said and I quote "I know how to get Osama Bin Laden".  If this is true, why haven't you shared your infinite wisdom and caught him already.  Why are you withholding information that could have saved thousands and thousands of lives, both Iraqi's and Americans.

Regarding the article, it is an accurate representation of what is being discussed at kitchen tables in the homes of America's citizens.  I have to say that I am very comforted that there are such intelligent children, maybe there is hope for my children's futures.
